Hi! I'm Zach. I currently work as a Mechanical Engineer at SharkNinja, on Shark's R&D team, helping Shark develop innovative new products for the home. In 2021, I graduated from Northwestern University, studying human-centered design and mechanical engineering. I love getting immersed in new problems, learning from users, quick mockups, and exploded diagrams.
When I'm not working on a project, you can find me trying to get out to the mountains, eating cold pizza for breakfast, or taking pictures of the sky. Recently, I've also gotten into hand embroidering thrifted clothes, and have rediscovered my love for shrinky dinks!
At Northwestern, I was involved in leading a backpacking trip for incoming students and helped lead NU’s chapter of Kesem. These experiences have put empathy at the center of what I do, while also strengthening my communication and organizational skills—all qualities I have taken into my design process as I have begun my career in the consumer product industry.
I am passionate about stepping into other people's shoes and utilizing human-centered design to help solve problems that affect people every day. And I’m excited to soak up as much as possible from the new experiences and people I encounter as I continue my professional journey!
